Push to improve the website functionality and data management, keeping it streamlined and automated as much as possible to limit the man hours it takes to maintain it.

Push to consider a job posting for hiring full and/or part time technical resource(s) for web admin/development and data entry to update and modernize the BPA website. I feel we have grown too large and require quicker turnaround for just volunteer technical help. Some job responsibilities/skill set needs:

Improve website UI

Create automation/streamlined methods for data entry

Improve backend database structure

Add user input and scheduled publishing reviews

Create yearly BPA calendar with key admin & user deadlines

Assist with technical aspects of WBC execution

Create kiosk QR codes for direct links to event previews/history

Create a user entry method for GMs to electronically submit results

Integrate with MS Excel for automation and familiarity to current methods

Some possible IT avenues for research and discussion and open to other suggestions

Review Wordpress and what other PBEM GMs/MeepleLeague have done

Promote methods for implementing online game handles to be included in badges for those interested. (With appropriate auditing to prevent offensive/fake handles)

Inquire about any reported incidents to help determine appropriate policies at a BPA/WBC organization level taking into account good sportsmanship values and keeping with the historical BPA/WBC all inclusive organizational stance. Also work to add a reporting mechanism via secure website/email so any issues that arise can be reported and reviewed without needing to track down specific individuals.

Suggest electronic conversion/data entry automation of the event result sheets as they are submitted so shortly after the convention the data is available for website processing and posting.

Investigate and implement data redundant cloud storage to remove any single points of failure where we could lose all the WBC historical data.
